Job summary

Northwest Cancer Centers in Northwest Indiana is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, in-office role supporting physicians and clinicians with patient care. Under direct supervision you will assist with exams, record vitals, prep rooms, and handle clerical tasks to keep patient flow efficient.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Entry level with 0–3 years of MA/NA experience.
• Current BCLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Some state regulations may require additional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and physician offices.
• Record patient data prior to visits, including vitals and allergies.
• Obtain necessary patient records before treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain room disinfection protocols and handle calls.
