Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Medical Assistant at the AHCI Cancer Center in Minneapolis to support providers and nursing staff. The role covers rooming patients, patient flow, specimen processing, and injections, with EMR documentation and front desk coverage as needed.

You will work 8-hour day shifts, no weekends, 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period). Current BLS certification or CMA/RMA preferred; completion of MA program required.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare education with similar clinical training.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, CMAA).

Responsibilities

• Room patients, manage patient flow and obtain adequate patient information/data.
• Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and processing; administer injections as delegated.
• Enter data into EMR and respond to messages in the in-basket; may cover front desk as needed.
