Job summary

Allina Health in Edina, MN is seeking a patient care assistant to join the infusion clinic team. Under the supervision of an RN, you will assist with personal care, monitoring vital signs, and preparing patients for infusions, ensuring comfort and safety throughout care.

This full-time role (1.0 FTE) runs Monday through Friday, with day shifts at Centennial Lakes Medical Center, Suite 304. A CNA program, clinical rotations, or Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy completion, plus BLS

Qualifications

Must meet CNA program or equivalent nursing care qualification.
Must meet age and educational requirements (18+ or 17 with HS diploma).
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross or in-house BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Performs personal care/interventions as assigned.
Completes interventions according to identified critical elements of each procedure.
Answers patient call lights promptly.
Distributes and sets up water, snacks and patient trays and assists patients.
Assists patient with grooming and hygiene needs, maintains skin integrity and comfort.
Provides assistance with ambulation, transfer and ROM as ordered.
Collects and saves specimens.
Assists RN with admission, transfer, discharge and post-mortem care.
