Job summary

Premier Blood and Cancer Center-MVHN is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Premier Health Physician Companies. You will see upwards of 30 patients per day, assisting in rooming, vitals, and clinical procedures under supervision of the Practice Manager and center physicians/providers.

The role emphasizes patient experience, attention to detail, and strong documentation skills, with CPR certification required within 3 months and proficiency in ICD-10/CPT coding and EPIC EMR preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program and/or Certified Medical Assistant.
• Prior ambulatory health care facility experience preferred.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.
• CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect vitals; perform pulmonary function tests and injections.
• Conduct EKGs, breathing treatments, lab testing, dressing changes, wound cleaning.
• Assist in hearing and vision tests and other duties as assigned.
• Manage accurate and timely documentation and ensure patient experience is prioritized.
