Job summary

Premier Blood and Cancer Center-MVHN is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting physicians in procedures.

Responsibilities also cover performing pulmonary function tests, EKGs, injections, breathing treatments, lab testing, wound care, and accurate documentation with HIPAA compliance. CPR certification within 3 months is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Graduated from a recognized Medical Assistant program and/or will be a Certified Medical Assistant.
• Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred.
• CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect vitals.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and EKGs.
• Administer injections and breathing treatments.
• Conduct lab testing, wound care, and dressing changes.
• Complete accurate documentation and HIPAA compliance.
