Job summary

US Oncology Inc. in a clinical setting seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians with patient care duties. You will help with exams, procedures, and ensure smooth patient flow in a busy oncology clinic.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, recording data, preparing treatment rooms, and handling routine clerical tasks. A minimum of three years’ experience and a valid BCLS are expected, with CMA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. CMA preferred.
• MA certification preferred if available.
• Minimum three years as MA or CNA.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• BCLS certification required.
• Some states may require specific MA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and offices.
• Record vital signs and patient data prior to visits.
• Obtain necessary patient records before treatment.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms; manage supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as needed.
• Handle routine clerical tasks and patient communications.
