Job summary

Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. In this role, you will work with some of the best physicians in their fields while providing care to patients in a successful healthcare organization.

Under direct supervision, you will assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment, promote efficient patient flow, and perform clinic support tasks including clerical duties,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• 0-5 years as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as appropriate.
• Records patient data before each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtains all necessary patient records as required by the physician before treatment or procedures.
• Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• May enter orders under a provider's direction and supervision.
• Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Responds to patients' calls; performs other administrative duties as requested.
