University of California San Diego Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the KOP Breast Clinic in San Diego. The role requires CMA or MA training, and experience with EMR/Epic, patient care, and scheduling.

The position supports multiple pavilions and involves full participation in a 50% appointment schedule in a clinical setting. The successful candidate will prioritize patient care, maintain accurate records, and work closely with licensed nursing staff.

Formación

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or certificate of completion in MA program.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months.
• At least two years of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience with direct patient care and EMR systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, online scheduling, universal precautions, and body mechanics.
• Ability to take initiative, prioritize demands, and work in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule patient appointments and manage patient system screens.
• Assist with accurate billing and environmental care functions.
• Manage equipment and supplies; ensure clean and disinfected environments.
• Demonstrate proper body mechanics and patient care procedures.
