Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across clinical settings. The role includes rooming patients, recording vitals, taking medical history, reviewing allergies, performing screenings, and assisting with procedures as ordered.

Responsibilities also cover venipuncture, specimen labeling, lab testing per CLIA, medication administration, vaccines, and coordinating referrals and scheduling. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• Performs routine clinical tasks within Medical Assistant scope
• Handles vital signs, med reconciliation, medical history and screenings
• Performs venipuncture and laboratory specimen duties
• Administers medications and vaccines following safety standards
• Supports patient scheduling, messaging and referrals

Responsabilidades

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policies
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs and screenings
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered
• Performs lab duties and POCT per orders, adheres to CLIA standards
• Administers meds and vaccines safely
• Supports scheduling, messaging, and equipment readiness
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and participates in training onboarding
• Communicates effectively and escalates when needed
• Provides age-appropriate care per department standards
