Ideal candidates are graduates of an MA program with certification and a willingness to obtain BLS within 90 days from hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from MA program required.
• Medical Assistant Certification required; BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care and examinations.
• Prepare visit charts with test results and reports.
• Room patients for visits following criteria and document findings.
• Record vital signs, measurements, and health history accurately.
• Perform and document screening and testing as indicated (depression, asthma).
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing where appropriate.
