Elliot Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Radiation Therapy Department at Elliot Hospital. The role involves assisting providers with patient care, examinations, procedures, and documentation in accordance with standards.

Ideal candidates have MA program graduation, 1–3 years of MA experience, BLS within 90 days, and may have MA certification. This is a full-time, on-site position offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities in oncology care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate from MA program.
• 1–3 years of MA experience.
• Preferred Medical Assistant Certification.
• BLS required within 90 days from hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs visit chart preparation based on daily appointments, including test results and reports.
• Rooms patients for provider visits per criteria and documents findings.
• Records age/condition-specific measurements: vitals, height, weight, head circumference, peak flow, pulse oximetry.
• Performs and documents hearing, vision, respiratory and ECG testing.
• Conducts condition-specific screenings (e.g., depression, asthma).
• Collects and processes specimens using proper collection methods.
• Performs point-of-care testing and documents accurately.
