Job summary

Banner Health in Gilbert, AZ is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff. You will prepare patients, record vitals, assist with exams, manage chart prep, and help with EKGs and phlebotomy in a fast-paced clinic.

You must have a approved MA training program, active MA certification, BLS, and strong computer skills. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered for experienced MAs, with opportunities for growth across Banner Gateway and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and records vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assists providers with exams and minor procedures, including EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Coordinates pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling.
• Maintains medical records and supports billing documentation.
• Maintains clean exam rooms and sterilization procedures.
• Orders and stocks supplies for patient care areas.
• Communicates with internal and external customers to support care.
• Completes onboarding and simulation training as directed.
• Interacts with providers, staff, patients, and families to support patient care.
