Banner Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the San Tan Valley area. This role supports clinicians and nursing staff after check-in, contributing to patient care and the overall patient experience.

The position requires MA training, active MA certification, and BLS, with opportunities for growth within Banner Medical Group. You will work in a busy clinic setting, assisting with exams, coordinating care, and performing clerical duties to ensure efficient patient flow and accurate

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Completion of a Banner approved medical assistant training program that also meets state defined regulations.

Responsabilités

• Prepares patient for exam and treatment by taking and recording vital signs, symptoms and other necessary measurements.
• Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures (blood pressure, respiration, heart rate, temperature, phlebotomy, ear irrigation, EKGs).
• Coordinates and manages patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling.
• Provides clerical support with medical records, billing information and patient notifications.
• Maintains a clean, functional environment incl. disinfection and equipment maintenance.
• Orders supplies and manages medications and recalls.
• Develops communication with external and internal customers to support patient care.

Formation

MA Diploma (Accredited MA School)

BLS Provider (In Person, Banner Approved)

MA National Certification from AAMA, AMT, NCCT or NHA
