Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with formal externship (160 hours) or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description.
• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or by end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain and document medical histories and vital signs in the EMR, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures, including biopsies, specimen labeling, instrument handling, and other clinical support.
• Obtain bloodwork and administer medications, including injections, as appropriate.
• Provide patient and family education and support during visits.
• Support post-surgical patient care and follow-up needs.
• Manage patient flow, charts, exam room readiness, and general clinic support across departments.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support coordinated patient care.
