Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of MA program with externship is preferred.
• Strong computer and keyboarding skills are preferred.
• Certification in BLS-C required by orientation end.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain and document medical histories and vital signs in the EMR, and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers and PAs during examinations and procedures, including biopsies, specimen labeling, instrument handling, and other clinical support.
• Obtain bloodwork and administer medications, including injections, as appropriate.
• Provide patient and family education and support throughout the visit.
• Support post-surgical patient care and follow-up needs.
• Manage patient flow, charts, exam room readiness, and general clinic support across both departments.
• Collaborate closely with the clinical team, including an experienced Medical Assistant in gynecologic oncology, to support efficient, coordinated patient care.
