Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory care preferred.
• ET (Emergency Medical Technician) or nursing experience not required but helpful.

Responsibilities

• Escort patient to room and prepare for examination or procedure.
• Obtain vital signs and document in the EHR.
• Obtain patient history using critical thinking.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments per protocols.
• Document care and status in the EHR.
• Ensure patient safety and respond to emergencies.
• Manage medication administration and immunization records per protocol.
• Handle phone encounters and patient communications within established timeframes.
