Job summary

The CNC coordinates care, mentors staff, and ensures quality outcomes with a patient-centered approach, collaborating with the management team to improve service delivery. This role offers growth within a large healthcare system and a focus on safety and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports the facility's efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing nursing strategies, including rounds.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; actions to ensure a competitive organization.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
