Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor for Oncology Med/Surg. You will oversee patient-centered care, coordinate nursing staff, and collaborate with leadership to improve outcomes and safety.

The role emphasizes throughput, staff development, and adherence to policy, with a focus on delivering high-quality oncology med/surg services in a large, trusted health system.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing, to be obtained within 1 year of start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care quality in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborate with experts and managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Support patient-first initiatives and service recovery when needed.
• Operationalize nursing strategies including hourly rounds and staff engagement.
• Participate in interviewing, training, and evaluating staff; support disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management per patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.

Education

Registered Nurse (RN) license

Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in nursing
