Job summary
Medical City Arlington, part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor for Neuro Med/Surg. The role focuses on coordinating patient care, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to nursing standards on a full-time day shift with rotating weekends in Arlington, TX.
You will lead admission/discharge processes, partner with management to improve outcomes, and support workforce development while maintaining a patient-centered environment and efficient
Qualifications
- Active RN license required (TX)
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree must be completed within 1 year of start date
- Minimum 2+ years in a charge or supervisory role
- Minimum 2+ years in an acute care setting
- BCLS and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certifications required within specified timelines
Responsibilities
- Assist with admissions and discharges to maintain throughput and care quality
- Monitor and evaluate nursing care per policies and procedures
- Collaborate with managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes
- Support patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed
- Oversee staff scheduling and labor in line with patient care needs
- Provide guidance on interviewing, training, and performance evaluations
