Job summary

Care New England is seeking an Oncology Medical Assistant to support both clinical and office functions of the department. The role includes direct patient contact, maintaining office systems, and assisting in various clinical procedures.

Duties include clinical care and assessment within a multidisciplinary team, office support (typing, scheduling, forms), equipment monitoring, and safeguarding patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and CMA certification required.
• CPR certification and 3–5 years of medical/administrative experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and transcription; strong typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical care and assessment as part of the team.
• Assist with direct patient care with discretion.
• Provide clinical and office support to staff.
• Handle typing, scheduling, and form processing.
• Monitor clinical equipment and ensure confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
