Job summary

MaineHealth in Scarborough & South Portland, Maine, seeks a Practice Supervisor to provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Cancer Care team. You will partner with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient operations, excellent patient service, and a positive experience for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years of experience in a hospital outpatient clinic setting.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support administrative staff across the practice, fostering engagement, development, and accountability.
• Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, staffing, patient access, workflows, and operational priorities.
• Partner with providers, clinical leaders, and departments to ensure efficient, coordinated operations and exceptional patient experiences.
• Monitor and improve workflows, communication, and operational effectiveness.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, retention, and performance management of team members.
• Serve as a resource for staff, addressing concerns, resolving challenges, and escalating issues as needed.
• Assist with implementing organizational initiatives, process improvements, and change management efforts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, patient safety, and organizational standards.
• Promote a collaborative, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
