Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time, benefits-eligible role offers a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with major holidays off.

The LPN will assist with exams, vital signs, nursing procedures, meds administration, and patient education under supervision, requiring a valid LPN license and BLS certification within the specified timeframe.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse license for the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 45 days if required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, obtain vitals, document health information.
• Perform specimen collection and basic lab procedures with aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries as needed.
• Administer medications under physician orders and manage IV therapy within scope.
• Educate patients on treatments and coordinate referrals as appropriate.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and proper equipment handling.
