Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an LPN for the Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The role involves rooming patients, collecting vitals, and supporting physicians with exams and procedures.

Responsibilities include administering meds, assisting with IV therapy within scope, and providing patient education and follow-up coordination. The position requires an accredited LPN program and BLS certification within 45 days if needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, Windows navigation, email, and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists physician with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams, EMG, colposcopy, etc.
• Administers medications under orders, including immunizations and insulin.
• Maintains IV therapy within scope and provides patient education.
