Job summary

Texas Oncology in Plano, TX is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to support the Plano West location. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position with hours 8am–5pm and no weekends, call, or major holidays.

The LCSW will perform psychosocial assessments and provide counseling to patients and families, collaborate with the oncology team, document in the EMR, and connect patients with community resources.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work required with CSWE accreditation.
• Valid and current Texas state LCSW license.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a clinical social worker in healthcare; oncology, palliative care, or hospice desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapeutic counseling to patients, families, and caregivers as needed.
• Assesses the psychosocial impact of cancer on patient and family throughout the care continuum.
• Documents all interventions in the EMR accurately and timely.
