Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our team. This role supports patients across our DFW West service area with regular on-site presence at Granbury, Weatherford, and Cleburne clinics, and remote support to Southwest Fort Worth and Azle locations.

Hours are standard 8a-5p, Monday through Friday. The LMSW will provide counseling, psychosocial assessments, and care coordination, collaborating with the medical team, developing support groups, and educating staff

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a health care setting; oncology/palliative/hospice preferred.
• Valid LMSW license or pursuing state license with associate license and Plan of Supervision.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and psychosocial counseling to patients and families.
• Coordinate care with the medical team and community resources to support patients.
• Document interventions in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Develop and facilitate MSW-led support groups for patients and families.
• Educate clinic staff on the MSW role and psychosocial care within oncology.
• Advocate for patients within the health care system and navigate survivorship needs.
