Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our Round Rock location. This full-time role is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm with no weekends, on-call duties, or major holidays.

The SW will assess, diagnose and treat psychosocial needs, provide counseling to patients and families, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, and connect patients with community resources and support services.

Qualifications

• MSW from CSWE-accredited program.
• 3–5 years of clinical social work experience in a healthcare setting; oncology/palliative care preferred.
• Valid Texas state MSW license (LCSW).

Responsibilities

• Provides counseling to patients, families and caregivers for psychosocial needs.
• Performs assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioral issues related to cancer care.
• Collaborates with the medical interdisciplinary team to support patient care and transitions.
• Documents interventions accurately in the EMR and billing notes when applicable.
• Develops, maintains and facilitates patient and family support groups.
• Connects patients and families with community resources and services to support care.

Education

Master's degree in Social Work (CSWE-accredited)
