Job summary

Texas Oncology in Plano West is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our oncology team. This full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm role supports patients and families with psychosocial care and coordination of services.

The ideal candidate has an MSW, a current Texas LCSW license, and experience in oncology or palliative care, with strong counseling, crisis intervention, and collaboration in an interdisciplinary environment. EMR documentation and program development are included.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Valid and current Texas state master’s clinical-level license (LCSW).
• 3–5 years’ clinical social work experience in health care; oncology/palliative care/hospice preferred.
• Supervision of MSW student interns may be involved.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapeutic counseling to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Demonstrates knowledge of psychosocial impact of cancer on patients and families.
• Provides emotional support and crisis assessment/interventions.
• Acts as part of the medical interdisciplinary team and communicates patient needs.
• Documents all interventions in EMR accurately and timely.
