Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year phlebotomy experience preferred; recent grads considered if proficient in blood draws.
• Phlebotomy certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other specimens from patients using proper phlebotomy techniques and butterfly needles.
• Perform specimen analysis and assist with chemistry, hematology and immunology testing as directed.
• Process orders and ensure complete and accurate information for testing.
• Prepare specimens for shipment to reference labs and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• Maintain accurate documentation including test report logs, QC logs and equipment records.
• Travel between multiple sites to support laboratory operations and coverage.
• Participate in training and shadowing to improve skills and accuracy.
