Job summary

The US Oncology Network is hiring a Pharm/Admix Tech in Florida. You will assist under a pharmacist, preparing and admixing medications, and ensuring accurate patient and physician data and insurance verification. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' pharmacy experience with IV skills.
• IV certification preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification or state board requirement recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medication orders by compounding or admixing under supervision.
• Checks orders for completeness, patient information and physician authorization.
• Verifies insurance approval before admixing; prepares drugs per guidelines.
• Calculates dosage volumes and maintains indigent drug program; counts controlled drugs weekly.
• Maintains drug information and MSDS; disposes materials per policy; cleans hood daily.
• Logs drugs, checks expiry; maintains protocol and patient assistance logs.
• Keeps temperature logs and documentation of medications.
• Manages inventory control and labeling; supports billing and data entry.
