Job summary

Compass Oncology is seeking a Per Diem Oncology Nurse to float between OR locations, up to 20 hours per week. Under supervision, you will provide professional nursing care to oncology patients, assist physicians, manage patient flow, and respond to changes in patient conditions.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited nursing degree with OR/WA licensure within 6 months, BLS, and ideally a chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider card. No relocation required; on-call coverage across satellite offices.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Dual OR/WA nursing licensure obtained within 6 months of start date.
• Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy provider card preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Maintain continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with exams and procedures.
• Maintain efficient patient flow in exam rooms.
• Assess patient condition changes and initiate action.
• Administer medications with correct dosage and route.
• Document assessments and teaching in the chart.
• Triage patient calls and provide education materials.
• Provide nursing coverage for satellite offices as needed.
