Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (required)
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (required)
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment (required)
• Certification in Basic CPR (required)
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide pre-attending care for patients with comprehensive assessments.
• Perform routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital signs.
• Interpret abnormalities from tests and take remedial action as needed.
• Document nursing assessments and interventions clearly in the medical record.
• Coordinate patient education and ensure understanding of materials.
• Triage and manage incoming telephone calls using clinical assessment skills.
• Manage urgent/emergent medical situations per organization protocols.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians and delegate tasks per Illinois law.
• Comply with policies and procedures related to patient care and update them as needed.
