Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• State Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Certification in Basic CPR.
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and report deficiencies.
• Provide pre-attending care for patients with comprehensive assessments and documentation in medical records.
• Perform routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs, and lab specimen preparation; handle complex procedures as needed.
• Interpret abnormalities from tests and take appropriate remedial action with clear documentation.
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care.
• Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls using clinical assessment skills and service standards.
• Manage urgent/emergent medical situations following organization protocols.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians, delegating tasks per Illinois law.
• Comply with policies and initiate patient education and community outreach as requested.
