Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred (may be required for certain positions).
• State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment.
• Certification in Basic CPR.
• 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide pre-attending care by performing comprehensive patient assessments and documenting in the medical record.
• Perform routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs, and specimen preparation.
• Interpret abnormalities in tests/procedures and take remedial action with documentation.
• Coordinate with other departments and communicate with outside agencies as needed.
• Triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls using clinical assessment skills.
• Manage urgent/emergent medical situations per organization protocols.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians and delegate tasks according to Illinois law.
• Comply with policies and implement new procedures to improve patient experience.
• Initiate and coordinate patient education and community outreach when requested.
