Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for Oncology Infusion Galter, Days. The role focuses on supporting physicians and nurses, maintaining efficient patient flow, and performing clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory infusion setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, CMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA/NRCMA eligibility and BLS/CPR certification, with 0–2 years of relevant experience. Schedule: 8-hour shifts; compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Active certification: CMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA/NRCMA, or eligible to write one of them within 6 months.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assure efficient patient flow and prepare exam rooms.
• Assist with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations and sample collection.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and inventory of vaccines/medications.
• Communicate with patients and care team to coordinate care.
• Perform delegated procedures safely per protocols.
• Support supervisors and nursing staff as needed.
