Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an IHR Staff Nurse Oncology Infusion to join the Oncology Infusion team on days, as-needed and non-benefited. This role involves patient assessments, administration of chemotherapy and related nursing interventions, education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program with Illinois RN licensure, CPR certification, and at least two years of acute or ambulatory

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois.
• Certification in Basic CPR.
• Two years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document nursing care.
• Administer medications, phlebotomy, vital signs, and routine nursing duties.
• Demonstrate clinical competency in procedures including chemotherapy administration and pain pump management.
• Coordinate patient education and collaborate with other departments to ensure quality care.
• Triage calls, manage urgent situations, and follow organizational protocols.
