Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Oncology clinic in Glenview. This part-time, 20-hour weekly role supports physicians, nurses, and staff, ensuring efficient patient flow and accurate charting.

Responsibilities include assisting with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, room preparation, and maintaining safety and inventory. Schedule: Mon/Tue 8-hour shifts and Fri half-day; HS diploma and MA certification eligibility with BLS required; ambulatory care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current MA certification or eligibility within 6 months.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• 0–2 years of experience in a relevant role.

Responsibilities

• Assures efficient patient flow through the site, escorts patients, records vitals, and updates patient information.
• Assists practitioners with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and clerical tasks per protocol.
• Maintains exam rooms, inventory, and safety, and disposes of expired items.
