RWJBarnabas Health's Melchiorre Cancer Center Infusion Center is seeking an Infusion Center RN. You will combine oncology nursing expertise with patient education, symptom management, and individualized care throughout chemotherapy and biotherapy, while supporting families.

The role emphasizes vascular access, central line care, and coordinated, compassionate care in a high-acuity cancer setting. SHIFTS are day hours, with comprehensive nursing responsibilities and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• RN license in New Jersey required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• IV certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Oncology-specific certifications (OCN) or CE credits per CoC guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and plan care for hematology/oncology patients.
• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy per policies and standards.
• Manage IV chemotherapy and implanted access devices; monitor for side effects.
• Provide central line care including dressing changes and maintenance.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies; manage medication extravasation.
• Administer blood products and support education for patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team; participate in discharge planning.
