As an On-Call Infusion RN at the Melchiorre Cancer Center, you'll combine advanced oncology nursing skills with patient education, clinical assessment, and individualized support for patients receiving chemotherapy and other complex treatments. Working closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary cancer care team, you'll help patients safely navigate treatment while addressing their physical, emotional, nutritional, and rehabilitation needs. To be considered for this Infusion Center Registered Nurse opportunity, you must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or current matriculation toward a baccalaureate nursing degree, is preferred. BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire to the unit. Candidates must also hold IV certification from an approved facility or complete the requirements for IV certification within 90 days of hire. Registered Nurses administering chemotherapy must obtain and maintain Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification through the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS). Nurses providing oncology care who do not hold Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification are required to complete a minimum of 12 oncology-specific continuing education credits annually in accordance with Commission on Cancer accreditation guidelines. Candidates must also complete all required organizational and unit orientation requirements. This is an hourly, day shift On-Call Option 7 opportunity supporting The Infusion Center at the Melchiorre Cancer Center.
