Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist to grow our oncology business in the USA. You will engage with customers, educate stakeholders about our oncology portfolio, and strive to meet or exceed sales goals within your territory.

The role covers the Oklahoma City area with potential overnight travel; travel expectations are 50%. A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years oncology field-based selling experience required; valid driver’s license, residence near the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of sales experience or 10 years equivalent experience with a high school diploma.
• 2+ years of oncology field-based experience selling to oncology customers.
• Equivalent experience in healthcare/scientific fields with oncology exposure is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the geography.
• Collaborate with territory counterparts to provide a seamless experience for customers.
• Engage with customers, communicate product value, and build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Understand cancer pathways, guidelines, and treatment options to inform discussions.
• Analyze trends in a complex buying environment and coordinate with the Oncology Customer Team Leader and others.
