Job summary

AbbVie seeks a field-based professional to educate HCPs on patient support programs, access options, and payer policies within a defined territory. You will collaborate with oncology teams to address reimbursement and coverage for specialty therapies.

The role requires solid knowledge of reimbursement dynamics, coding and billing, plus HCIR credentialing. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license are required, with travel across designated cities in the US.

Qualifications

• Onc/hem-onc experience or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of coverage, billing, reimbursement and payer policies.
• Ability to explain coding and billing requirements at national/regional levels.
• Understanding of Parts A, B, C and D or Medicare reimbursement dynamics.
• Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for facilities in the territory.
• Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Educate healthcare providers on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on acquisition and access options like specialty networks and white-bagging.
• Advise on resources to address access issues and payer challenges.
• Provide territory payer policy insights to inform providers and teams.
• Collaborate with oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Track payer trends and share insights with Patient Services and account teams.
• Establish and maintain provider relationships within the territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement and policy developments.
