UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh, PA is hiring a Regular Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse, ONC (RN) to support the Medical Oncology team on the 3rd Floor. This role offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus and a Monday through Friday daylight schedule as a Collaborative Practice Nurse.

The Professional Staff Nurse provides nursing care, leadership, teaching, and collaboration with physicians and families to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice.
• Leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in department or unit-specific quality improvement efforts to improve patient satisfaction and care quality.
• Demonstrates accountability for professional development and supports the change process to improve practice environments.
• Develops productive working relationships and communicates effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
• Provides teaching to patients and families about care episodes and transitions between care levels.
• Applies the nursing process to create a holistic, patient-centered care plan and ensures safe, coordinated care across the continuum.
