Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Oncology Department. The role supports RN-led care, performs vital signs and ADLs, and participates in education and safety initiatives.

Requirements include a Maryland CNA license, completion of CNA program with exam, BLS, and ability to communicate in English. The position is part-time (24 hrs/week) with day shifts and every-other-weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a CNA or first-year Nursing School program and CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA license required and active on Maryland registry.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Physical ability to lift, bend and turn.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow the care plan established by the RN.
• Participate in education programs and professional initiatives.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Receive shift reports from the RN and communicate effectively.
• Utilize resources appropriately and report issues timely.
