Job summary

MMC #1 Meadville clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Medical Oncology/Physician Support team in a part-time, dayshift role. You will work on-site to assist physicians, prepare charts, and help coordinate daily clinic operations.

Responsibilities include entering orders in the EMR, maintaining accurate documentation, and triaging calls. The position emphasizes efficient patient flow and cross-department collaboration in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with assigned physician(s) to support daily clinic operations
• Prepare charts and review schedules in advance to ensure efficient patient flow
• Anticipate provider needs to minimize delays and optimize clinic throughput
• Assist with coordination of care across departments and services
• Enter orders accurately and timely as directed by the physician
• Ensure orders are complete, signed, and routed appropriately within the EMR
• Identify missing or unclear information and communicate promptly with the physician
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
• Perform clinical functions in a physician’s office, assist with treatments, obtain specimens, manage records and scheduling
