Unknown clinic in Oregon is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant in Medical Oncology for daytime, on-site work. You will support physicians, take vitals, prepare patients, and assist with examinations.

The role requires MA certification within 15 months of hire, one year of medical office experience, strong communication, confidentiality, and willingness to continue education. BLS and CMA credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Assistant certification within 15 months of hire.
• One year of prior medical office experience.
• One year of patient care experience; knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical and transcribing duties for the MD to ensure efficient operation and record keeping.
• Prepare patient for clinic visit and procedures; obtain vitals and prep for examinations.
• Assist Medical Oncologist with exams and procedures; transcribe orders and assist as needed.
• Process insurance and disability forms as needed and assist MDs/RNs with forms.
• Call pharmacies with approved new/refill prescriptions; document all MA/CMA duties in patient charts.
• Administer injections, immunizations and medications under supervision; triage and return patient calls.
• Maintain exam rooms with supplies and restock; manage charting and lab results.
• Schedule procedures and referrals; ensure accurate charting and data entry.
