Job summary

US Oncology Inc. seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Gynecological Oncology team at the Bedford location, with occasional coverage for Grapevine and Keller. This full-time, Mon-Fri role runs 8:30am-5pm with no weekends or major holidays.

The candidate may be Level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience. Responsibilities include patient care support, clerical tasks, and adherence to compliance programs. Levels specify experience thresholds and additional duties.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred.
• 0-3 years experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
• Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Minimum three years experience as MA or nursing assistant (Level 2).
• Phlebotomy experience preferred (Level 2).
• Minimum five years experience as MA or nursing assistant in hospital/clinic (Level Sr).
• Current CPR certification required (Level Sr).

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Record patient data prior to each visit (vital signs, height, weight, allergies, med changes).
• Obtain necessary patient records before treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms; order supplies.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated.
• Maintain room disinfection protocols.
• Answer patient calls; refer to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
