Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support the Flower Mound and Lewisville Castle Hills locations. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with 8:30am–5pm hours and no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Under supervision, you will assist physicians and clinicians with patient care, perform clinic support tasks, manage patient data, and help maintain the schedule. The position is level 1–Sr based on experience, with growth opportunities in a busy oncology

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CMA certification preferred.
• BCLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Records patient data prior to physician visits including vital signs and medications.
• Obtains necessary patient records as required by physician.
• Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms; orders supplies as needed.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated.
• Maintains exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Answers patient calls and referrals to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
• Documents patient reschedules and no-shows.
• Performs administrative duties as requested by supervisor or physician.
