Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Research Nurse - Oncology to lead coordination and management of oncology clinical trials. You will ensure safe, ethical conduct, and patient-centered care across the health system, complying with GCP and IRB policies while collaborating with sponsors and internal stakeholders.

You will drive patient enrollment, data integrity, and study oversight, supporting program growth and accreditation across the Mount Carmel Oncology Service Line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required or preferred.
• Current RN license in Ohio; CITI training required.
• Minimum of five years oncology nursing experience; clinical research exposure preferred.
• Excellent communication, regulatory, and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate education for stakeholders on new trials/treatments.
• Screen and enroll patients into trials.
• Provide care coordination to ensure protocol compliance.
• Coordinate between physician, Mount Carmel, and study sponsor.
• Deliver direct patient care in outpatient settings and assessments in inpatient settings as required.
• Manage data collection and submission, including queries per sponsor requirements.
• Prepare and maintain regulatory/IRB study files and sponsor documents.
• Create data summaries and reports as requested.
• Serve as liaison for internal and external stakeholders involved in trials.
• Advocate for patients in the conduct of clinical trials.
• Promote a Culture of Safety and adherence to policies.
