Job summary

Community Health Network seeks a skilled Oncology Research Coordinator to monitor referrals, manage study activities, and support protocol implementation. The role includes presenting enrolling studies at Tumor Board, coordinating referrals, and ensuring adherence to research protocols within a fast-paced oncology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, science or clinical research; experience may substitute per policy.
• Certification: Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC-ACRP) within 3 years of hire.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in clinical research or oncology and/or nursing.
• Navigation experience preferred; ability to coordinate across care teams.
• Ability to manage study participant care and ensure protocol compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitors Oncology Research inbox and phone line, answers patient questions, and coordinates referrals.
• Assists team with study drug requests, SAE reporting, and study activities as needed.
• Attends Tumor Board Conference and presents enrolling studies with rationale and patient population.
• Reviews patient medical history to determine protocol eligibility for enrollment.
• Initiates collaboration with health care team to implement study protocol promptly.
• Supports team needs and communicates operational or educational issues to Manager.
• Completes clinical study start-up activities including fast facts, device setup and document development.
• Manages new patient referrals within CHNw and to the oncology research team; schedules visits.
