Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis seeks an Oncology Research Coordinator to support patient referrals, navigation, and study activities across the cancer care continuum. You will monitor study inbox, review eligibility, participate in Tumor Board discussions, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and study teams to ensure protocol compliance and timely enrollment.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in nursing/science or clinical research, with CCRP/CCRC certification preferred

Qualifications

• Education: 4 year / Bachelor's degree in nursing, science or clinical research (Required/Preferred).
• Certification: within three (3) years from hire Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC-ACRP).
• 2+ years: Relevant experience in clinical research or oncology; navigation experience preferred.
• Manages study participant care across cancer care continuum to achieve optimum outcomes.
• Exhibits mastery of clinical communication with internal and external physician providers; strong collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and manages Oncology Research inbox and phone line, answering patient questions, providing research education and managing referrals.
• Assists team with study drug requests, SAE reporting and performance of study activities, as needed.
• Attends and collaborates at assigned Tumor Board Conference.
• Presents enrolling studies pertinent to the Tumor Board's specialty, explaining rationale and patient population.
• Reviews patient medical history to determine protocol eligibility for enrollment and potential enrollment.
• Initiates collaboration with health care team to ensure prompt implementation of the protocol.
• Completes start-up activities including development of Fast Facts, Device Setup and document development.
