Qualifications

• Current RN license in state or compact (required)
• BSN preferred
• Certifications may be required based on unit leadership guidelines (PALS/ACLS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC and others) depending on unit

Responsibilities

• Adjust schedules and patient assignments based on acuity, population, resources and care design
• Provide staff guidance, clinical support, and unit leadership in the absence of the unit leader
• Maintain knowledge of safety and infection control standards and proper utilization of supplies and equipment
• Communicate with patients and families regarding nursing interventions and plans of care
• Lead rounds to evaluate safety, quality, and patient experience
• Serve as a resource to staff, patients, and families for effective communication
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor for staff; may serve as preceptor
• Engage in interprofessional collaboration to ensure care coordination and continuity
